LEIL VIVA 250 TRADITIONAL OUTDOOR SAUNA

Manufactured by Leil Saunas OÜ Võnnu, Tartu County, Estonia

WHY MERIDIAN LOVES

LEIL VIVA

ELEVATED FOR A MORE EVEN LEIL

The VIVA 250 is the most spacious model in the VIVA collection, with additional height that makes the interior feel lighter, more open, and exceptionally comfortable. Its upper bench is positioned in closer alignment with the heater and stone level, helping the body remain within the warmest part of the cabin for more consistent heat from head to toe. Forty-millimetre ThermoWood® construction, thermo-alder seating, a protected EPDM roof, and carefully placed ventilation openings make it equally compelling for its performance and its clean architectural presence.

THE LEIL DIFFERENCE

Leil designs and manufactures its saunas in Võnnu, Southern Estonia, drawing upon generations of regional sauna knowledge and modern timber-production expertise. Every aspect of the VIVA 250—from its bench elevation and heater relationship to its ventilation path, protected roof, and material selection—is considered according to how the sauna will actually feel in use. The result is not simply an outdoor timber room, but a carefully proportioned environment designed to hold heat, move air, support comfortable posture, and produce satisfying leil when water meets properly heated stones.

THE DIFFERENCE IS NOT SIMPLY MORE HEIGHT. IT IS USING THAT HEIGHT TO CREATE BETTER HEAT, AIRFLOW, AND COMFORT.

Elevated by Design

BENCH HEIGHT THAT KEEPS THE BODY WITHIN THE HEAT

The VIVA 250’s added interior height allows its upper bench to sit in closer alignment with the heater and stone level. This places bathers higher within the warm-air and steam zone, reducing the pronounced difference that can otherwise develop between upper-body and foot-level temperatures. The result is a more naturally seated position and more consistent leil across the body.

  • Elevated upper-bench position
  • Closer alignment with the heater stones
  • More consistent vertical heat
  • Warmer foot-level conditions
  • Natural seated posture
  • Deep upper bench

Built from ThermoWood®

STABLE NORDIC TIMBER FOR YEAR-ROUND OUTDOOR USE

The walls, floor, and ceiling are constructed from 40 mm thermally modified Nordic pine. The controlled thermal-modification process reduces the wood’s moisture absorption and improves dimensional stability, helping the cabin resist swelling, shrinking, warping, and resin release as outdoor conditions change.

  • Forty-millimetre ThermoWood® walls
  • Forty-millimetre ThermoWood® floor
  • Forty-millimetre ThermoWood® ceiling
  • Improved dimensional stability
  • Reduced moisture absorption
  • Reduced resin release
  • Warm natural coloration
  • Suitable for year-round use with proper maintenance

Airflow with Purpose

THREE VENTS SUPPORT HEAT, FRESH AIR, AND DRYING

The VIVA 250 uses a deliberate three-point ventilation path rather than relying on a single opening. Fresh air enters beside the heater, moves through the heated room, and exits beneath the benches. An adjustable upper vent can be opened after use to release retained moisture and support drying.

  • Intake beside the heater
  • Exhaust beneath the benches
  • Adjustable upper drying vent
  • Gravity-based airflow
  • Fresh-air movement
  • Post-use moisture release
  • Heater-specific ventilation coordination

MADE FOR THE OUTDOORS

The VIVA 250 combines substantial timber elements with an EPDM-covered roof and an exterior designed to shed weather when installed correctly. Vertical bars bring rhythm and lightness to the front elevation, while the bronze-glass door introduces natural light without removing the warm, enclosed character of the sauna.
